My pages from our trip to El Salvador. It's hard to believe that this was now a year ago.
I've got that itch right now, the itch to just go. I've been at home far too long. I need to go. I spend all my down time on the internet looking at places to explore. T-minus two weeks until I hop on a plane to Croatia with 3 of my best ladies and I absolutely cannot wait.
Until then, my favorite pages from last year's vacation:

Amalfi Coast Boat Trip - Scrapped
I was SO good there for awhile, keeping up with my posts. And then summer in California happened and I have been distracted by one of the best summers the San Diego coast has seen in years. Very little gloom, perfect temperatures, long days at the beach turning into long evenings of wine and laughter. Pretty much bliss in my book. Oh yeah, and I work...all the damn time.
I made these pages months ago and this day is still one of the best days of my life, our Amalfi Coast boat trip. If you're ever there, please seek out Salvatore...and give him a big hug from me.

Italy - Positano Scrapped
For my Italy travel partners birthday I hustled through a scrapbook of our trip. I don't think I've ever made a scrapbook this quickly. I think I got a good 30 pages done in 6 weeks Revisiting all the photos of this trip made me yearn for another trip to Europe. Without further adieu my favorite ages from the first half of our trip to Positano.

Montezuma Falls & Ziplining Scrapped
I finished the Costa Rica scrapbook! Our favorite part of our trip to Costa Rica was the two days we trekked over the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula from Santa Teresa to Montezuma. Once for the waterfall hike and another time for ziplining, both are essentially in the same place. I think next time we're in Costa Rica we'll possibly stay in Montezuma just for the outdoor adventure that is abundant there.

Santa Teresa, Costa Rica - Scrapped
I'm sitting here just over a year after our trip to Central America. For some reason I stopped working on the pages for this trip after I finished the Nicaragua portion. Now I am re-visiting and remembering just how beautiful a place Santa Teresa is. I am in dire need of another tropical vacation, Memorial Day weekend can't come soon enough (Maui here I come!)
Without further ado, my first pages from the Costa Rica scrapbook, more to come.

Lake Arrowhead Camping
Back in September (my last month of unemployment) husband-face and I took one last summer camping trip up near Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernadino Mountains. We stayed at Dogwood Campground. The setting was beautiful and the campground was huge but all of the sites were very close together so you didn't have much privacy. We ended up hanging out with our neighbors and playing drinking games both nights. When we go back up we'll probably try to find a campground that's a little quieter as this place had screaming kids everywhere. The neighbors to our other side had so many people and were so incredibly loud that it made for a not particularly peaceful camping experience. But I guess that's what you get when you car camp, and I am not the backpacking type.
We did a couple of hikes in an attempt to find water to swim in (it was HOT). Our first attempt to find the waterfall at Heart Rock was fruitless as there was no water running (though we did find Heart Rock). So we too a drive and found our way to Aztec Falls. The water was low but it was running. When it is rushing and the water levels are higher it's apparently a great cliff jump. We will definitely go back here and make a day of it with a picnic at the swimming hole next year.

A Road Trip (that I wasn't on)
This past summer my sister and her beautiful family took a 3 week long road trip up the west coast. They drove from San Diego all the way up to Washington and back. And because her kids are so disgustingly cute and they were in gorgeous scenic places a lot of awesome photos came from the trip. Seriously, they're the most photogenic family on earth...just look.
